The Nursery

We have four separate units within the Nursery:

  • The Baby Room - 0 to 15 months
  • The Toddler Room - 15 months to 28 months
  • Pre-School Room - 2 years and above
  • After School and Holiday Club - 4 years and above

The Nursery opens from Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.30pm. (We can open the Nursery earlier or later by arrangement - 7.30am to 6.00pm).

Ball pool

The nursery is closed at weekends, on UK public holidays and the period over Christmas and New Year.

The Nursery usually offers full, half or short day sessions but times can be negotiated wherever possible to accommodate the individual needs of the parent.

The after School and Holiday Club unit has its own facilities and staff.

Activities

The children will be involved in a wide range of activities both indoors and outdoors.

 

 

During the day children are divided into their own groups according to age or development.

They will participate in a wide variety of planned activities that will cater for the needs of the children and develop essential pre-school skills.

Indoors, we have a large variety of play equipment, such as the ball pool, home corner, water and sand play etc.

Story time

The children in all groups have the opportunity to take part in a variety of art and craft activities as well as story telling and music sessions on a daily basis.

The Nursery has its own outdoor play area with large play equipment, such as swings, a climbing frame and a variety of mobile toys.

We also have a large grassed area that is used during the dryer months of the year.

The children have a period of outdoor play each day, weather permitting.

The children are taken on frequent walks locally in our Turtle Bus or the Kinder Van.

 

 

Early Education (3 year olds)

The Nursery has been approved by the Local Educational Authority to deliver pre-school education for children who have their third birthday between 1st September and 31st March.

This entitles the child to a minimum of 10 hours funded early years education for the term(s) following their third birthday. More information is available on application.

Meals

For babies who are weaned, toddlers and the pre-school children, all meals are provided and freshly prepared on the premises.

Washing up!

These include breakfast, a cooked lunch and tea. Special dietary requirements are catered for. Menus forbabies are catered for seperatley.
