Playland has been established as a children's day nursery since 1968 and the current proprietor has been operating here since 1978. We pride ourselves on having a mature, well established and dedicated team working at the Nursery.

Most of us are mothers ourselves and we have a wealth of knowledge and expertise that you can rely on.

Playland Day Nursery is of medium size and is able to cater for up to thirty five children at any one time.

We have more floor space per child than the average nursery, therefore we are able to care for the children in smaller groups.

This is particularly important for the younger children who need to develop special relationships with their key workers.

The nursery is staffed by qualified carers and is equipped with tried and tested equipment that stimulates the growth and development of the children in our care.

We are here to work with and for your child. We welcome parents who want to see the Nursery in operation before making the important decision about their child's wellbeing and happiness.

All our staff attend regular training courses, such as first aid, food hygiene and child development.

For parents, leaving their child in the care of someone other than themselves can be a difficult decision to make.

Therefore it is important that time is taken for you and your child to familiarise yourselves with the nursery and the staff who work here.

We welcome parents who want to make frequent visits so they and their child get to know us before they attend the Nursery.

The important role of the parent in the child's nurturing and learning is recognised and valued by our staff.

We encourage parental involvement and interest in our activities and we are happy for you to visit and participate with your child if you wish.
